It powers down when all the flippers are hit at the same time and then rebuts. The other night the game wouldn't power up for the longest time and then when it did it worked fine. What do I need to replace so the power stays up.
It shutting down while playing has been going on for a long time. I did re-solder the plug connections on the power supply and that didn't solve the problem
Most likely the primary capacitor for the 5VDC regulator is failing or
an overheated Molex pin on the fuse panel.
For the pin, check pin #8 on the long connector to see if the white
housing is discoloured. If the housing has darkened at all where that
pin is then you need to repair that by replacing the pins and white
Molex connector.
If the connector looks fine, then check the large capacitor in the
middle of the Solenoid Driver/Voltage Regulator board - using a
voltmeter check across the two pins on this fat capacitor. Should be at
least 11VDC, and then check the AC - that should be less than 0.5VAC.
If the VDC is low, or the VAC (at the capacitor) is higher then replace
that capacitor and try your game again.
