I just finished up a playfield transfer. Working great. I did a rookie mistake:

I pulled off the smaller ribbon cable that goes from CPU board to the '8-driver PCB Assembly'. When I put it back on, I missed it by a
column. I corrected that and now the Idol and Upper Playfield do not work.

I figure I fried something on that board.

Can anyone save me a little time and tell me what I need to replace?

    Thanks.

First check that you didn't either bend or break off one or two pins of
    the pin header connector...

Thanks John. The pins are fine.

I have not done the research to find out how the '8 driver PCB Assembly'
works or integrates into the pin.

When I go into the test of the upper playfield and the Idol, I get an
error message. Not sure what roll this ribbon cable and the '8
driver-' has to do in the game. I need to do more research. It looks
like it controls the motors and that might not be where the error is?

If you have any experience or insight into how this works, please let me
    know.

    A little more research:

There is no way mis-plugging in that ribbon cable would fry the board.
All it would do is ground the data lines.

The board is fine. It is the data cable that goes from the Power Driver
Board to the CPU (and to the Ocd GI board installed by the owner, that
    was defective.

    All fixed.
