    In case anyone who reads this newsgroup has somehow missed it, Microsoft
    has released the source code for MS-DOS 4.0 under the MIT license
    including binaries of the tools required to build it. Some parts of Multitasking MS-DOS 4.0 are also included - the rest of it will follow
    if it can be found.

    I've heard MS-DOS 4.0 was fairly buggy and people avoided using it.. It may still be interesting to look at the source code though.

    Never heard about bugs although I wouldn't be surprised. Story here was it
    had a larger memory footprint without any significant for the time advantage over 3.3

    I compiled it in FreeDOS - glad MS released the code, its really nice to p0ke around the early bits of computing that sucked me in...

    It's up @ 2oFB for the rest of eternity. Yay!
