I read an interesting article in my news feed about vacation tips in
Santa Cruz, CA - from a New Zealand web site. Glad to know we're
    getting traction overseas!

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/travel/heading-for-california-put-santa-cruz-on-your-travel-list/XWBOCC4DOMMT27DLFTI4CYUBVY/

They mentioned Bad Animal, a great little wine bar/discussion
salon/rare book store that I went to last week. Outdoor seating
eclectic wine list, nice appetizers and small plates, and a killer
first edition/vintage books collection -- all paperback.

I picked up a collection of Dashiell Hammett stories for $12 to add
    to my noir detective collection.

If any FSXers come from New Zealand to Santa Cruz, look me up.

    :)

Biggest question is how much would it cost for my trunk (with me in it) to be mailed AND would there be enough room under your front porch for me to live? ;)

Used to work with a guy here who was from the Canberra area. Only reason he didn't move back was his wife/kids. Said he was much better off than after he moved here. More than once I asked him if he could ship me in a steamer trunk if he goes back. ;)

Hahah... yeah we'll I wouldn't rate our front porch and I think the trip over in the truck wouldn't be that flash either :)

Used to work with a guy here who was from the Canberra area. Only reason

That's Australia I think you mean as there's no Canberra here in NZ.

It would be an adventure at least. ;) Just have to wonder how fast I can bail out water to stay dry...as well being able to make sure I'm floating the right direction.

    True!

Remember around 20 or so years ago when "Lord of the Rings" came out. People were wanting to book trips to Middle Earth & didn't realize Peter Jackson shot the movies in New Zealand. ;)
