you and do almost anything you need on it. Pi does have that awesome forum and
support but if your building something from the ground up anyway typically it
    won't matter.

If people can get BBSes running on their phone in the background then they will
run on anything. PIMP BBS stands for Phone in my pocket.

So if you really can't find one and have a 1/2 way decent phone there is that
option too. I believe he did a full write up about how to do it.

Love that idea...since many of us should have some old Android phones kicking around. For that matter...they are cheap enough to buy new from Tracfone & such. Another option could be like Bluestacks to run Android on Windows. When I was running some Android games full screen on the monitor and not need glasses at the time...unlike now it seems like my glasses are getting closer to coke bottle versions every year. ;)

There's another project I want to build now which requires a Raspberry Pi
Compute Module 4, and as far as I can tell, those are all sold out everywhere. I don't know when I would be able to buy one. I'm starting to wonder if these things even exist..

If I had a need in that space right now I'd be looking hard at the various alternatives like the Pine64 boards.

Explaining Computers on You Tube just covered this board within the past few days. He was impressed with it...price was good (not sure if it was current)...but one of the drawbacks was possibly the kernal not being mature enough for the board.
