Hi Everyone,

I know it's been awhile since you've seen any releases from RCS. It's not that we haven't been doing anything, but working on a few MPLs that are VERY exciting!

I would like to let everyone know about a release that will be coming out as soon as we tidy things up a bit.

RCS Game Room

This MPL will give new and experienced Sysops the ability to set up both DoorParty and BBSLink games in minutes, instead of taking hours. You also have the ability to set up local games as well.

The RCS Game Room is a complete door game menu system, and included in the archive are menus (ini files) already set up to work with DoorParty, BBSLink,both DoorParty & BBSLink, along with local games.

Each 'menu' within the MPL, is completely lightbar driven, and will also work with hotkeys. Also, each menu is completely configurable! You can add / remove games in seconds.

And, if that wasn't enough, we've also added a scrolling marquee on each of the game menus, that will show the Top 5 games played! The main menu, when you enter the MPL, will give you the overall Top 5 games played. These Top 5 lists are completely real-time, so as soon as you exit a game, you can see the new updated list scrolling on the screen.

There is also a bunch of great looking ANSI files for these menus included. I would like to send out a HUGE Thank You, to the following for their hard work on these ANSIs.

All ANSI files included in the archive are copyrighted to the individual artists, and are used with permission in this release.

So, keep an eye out for this to be released within the next day or so. I have a feeling this is going to be a popular release, and I'm excited to be able to see what people can do with this!

And this one is a home run, man. :P Easy for new sysOps: Just get connected with BBSLink and/or DoorParty, and RCS Game Room does the rest. I don't think
every user even realizes how many Door Games they have available just by carrying both those networks - But they will after installing Game Room.

I've been working at 2o fOr beeRS to modify the stock install and I invite you to come by and see what mine looks like; I love the extra possibilities with this one. A seasoned sysOp could just rcsmenu (the MPL that powers Game Room) with other .INI file setups for different menus, not only a 'Game Room'... just saying, if you're more advanced you can use this one for a lot more than ONLY the Game Room.

I'm really impressed by and proud of this work. Great job, Black Panther & Godfather. :P This one really rocks!!

I don't think we, or I should say The Godfather, realized how many doors were available on both DoorParty and BBSLink! ;) We do now!

RCS Game Room

Yeah, must take a look myself. I had BBSLink setup at one stage, never got around to putting it back on.

So long as you have your [valid] BBSLink and/or DoorParty scripts still available Game Room makes it too easy to host them all.

Game Room is a dang homerun, IMO. It looks great, installs easily and has a lot of power to customize and do more things with it.

Its a sweet one.
